A native southerner, Chris found his calling at an early age through the pages of Southern Living Magazine. Inspired by their house plans, Chris could often be found sitting at his desk drawing plans of his own. By the time he was twelve, architecture was his chosen career path, but it wasn’t until he was mentored at Auburn University by Bobby McAlpine that he truly understood architecture. Chris became his mentor’s business partner and a recognized designer in his own right. Below are some of the many homes Chris designed during his almost thirty year tenure at McAlpine. Known for his romantic and creative gestures, Chris finds passion in the design of simple, honest cabins and cottages showcasing his aptitude for perfectly placed design elements.
